In cooperation with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), we are providing this weekly heads-up alert about contaminated or otherwise unsafe foods being recalled, to reduce the health risk to consumers by making up for the lags between recall orders and their targeted products being actually pulled off grocery store shelves.

(Note from this FRC blog site’s Editor: We have not been able to find out if, or how many people have been sickened by the product due to it being on sale since Feb. 2. Therefore, even though the company indicates the recall is for products sold since then until only Aug. 27, we urge consumers to make sure the reason(s) for the recall have been remedied by Quesos Mi Pueblito, before buying its products. We also want to draw your attention to the low nutritional value and high sodium and saturated fats (i.e. cholesterol) content of these over-processed and less than healthy cheeses.)
(5) The Kroger Co. is recalling Kroger brand Super Kids Enriched White Sandwich Bread sold in 13 states because it may contain milk not listed on the label. Customers should return the product to stores for a refund or replacement. The company announced this recall on Aug. 22, 2009.
(Note from FRC Editor: We trust that nutrition-savvy consumers prefer to feed their children organic whole-grain breads, rather than ones made with white, over-processed, low-fiber and probably GMO flour.)
